KLLX Rod + Tray Cheat Sheet

BKO KLLX Rods & Lash Trays ✦
rod & tray selection cheat sheet for korean lash lift + extensions · bkolashclub.com
Key
KLLX only uses the 3 most natural-curl rods in the BKO lineup — C Curl, Raindrop Curl, and CU Curl
"Sizing rule" = how much bigger to size up from your standard KLL rod choice
"Check" = how far the natural lash should reach up the rod for a seamless attachment point
Trays = the BKO U-Curl Camellia Lash Trays (UC / UB / UJ) — built specifically to blend with a lifted lash base
Why only 3 rods work for KLLX: extensions need a near-seamless attachment point on the natural lash. Too much post-lift curl creates too big a gap between the natural lash and the extension — which means poor attachment and bad retention. The rest of the BKO lineup (LC, L, M, V) is reserved for lift-only services.
Rod Profile Sizing rule Best for & why
C Curl Rod
Thin center profile Size up 2
Check: natural lash reaches ~50% up the rod
Best for standard clients — the most versatile KLLX rod.
Thinner profile means less room to give, so it has to be sized up more aggressively than the others.
Raindrop Curl Rod
Thicker profile Size up 1
Check: natural lash reaches ~65% up the rod
Best for monolid clients — designed specifically for this eye shape.
Automatically rules out CU and C Curl when the client is monolid.
CU Curl Rod
Very thick profile Size up 1
Check: natural lash reaches ~65% up the rod
Best for clients with long natural lashes (CU5 is the go-to size) and deep-set eyes.
Thicker profile gives more room to work with for complicated eye shapes.
Reminder: the natural lash and extension should meet at a uniform angle, with no more than a 45° gap between them — that's what makes the attachment look like one continuous lash.
the BKO U-Curl Camellia Lash Trays — the only trays built to blend seamlessly with a lifted lash base
Tray Curl level When to use
UC Curl
Most curled of the 3 When the post-lift result is more pronounced, or the client prefers a more lifted finish.
UB Curl
Middle of the 3 The default tray for most clients — a good in-between of super natural and slightly more lifted.
UJ Curl
Flattest of the 3 When the post-lift result is subtle, or the client wants coverage/darkness rather than lift or length. Also good on the bottom layer for added darkness.
Why not standard CC or LC/L-B/C/J trays? Even tilted upward, their curve points back toward the eyelid or brow instead of blending with the permed lash — so the bond looks obvious instead of seamless. UC/UB/UJ are curved to mimic the post-lift lash shape itself, which is what makes the attachment point disappear.
a preview of the two signature KLLX looks — the full technique breakdown & live demo walkthroughs are in the mini course
look 01 · hyperrealistic
KLLX 01
"your lashes but better"
$175
Best for
Clients whose lash length is already decent and who want subtle enhancement, not a dramatic transformation — previously happy with their lashes but want "more," without the look of obvious extensions.
look 02 · enhanced
KLLX 02
"your lashes but darker"
$195
Best for
Clients with sparse areas or shorter, thinner lashes in specific zones who want density and darkness — not just length. Often clients with naturally light-colored lashes who want fuller lashes without a fake appearance.
Both looks use the same rod & tray logic above — the mini course walks through exactly how to choose between them on a live client, plus the full technique breakdown for each.
